Adult Learner's Week
This year’s Adult Learner's Week marks the 15th Anniversary of Britain’s biggest festival of learning. We will be offering you a ‘Go Wild in the Garden’. This FREE session is open to all adults aged over 19 years. The session will start at 10 am - 1pm, on Monday 11th May.

Open Squares Weekend
On Saturday 13 June (10am–5pm) come and enjoy our secret garden, there will be a
fantastic range of plants and vegetables for sale. As well as delicious home made cakes, tea and coffee. Staff will be on hand to offer advice and answer any questions you have. Entrance to St Mary's is free but we will be selling tickets for other gardens taking part in Open Squares weekend. For more information on Open Squares Weekend and other gardens to visit see

As part of the event St Mary's Secret Garden will be operating a collection point for unwanted garden tools on Saturday 13 June, on behalf of the Conservation Foundation. The Foundation has invited garden squares to support the very worthwhile Tool Shed project, through which prisoners repair unwanted garden tools for use in schools. See

Art Course
Every Monday from 15 June to 6 July, 11am-3pm St Mary's Secret Garden is running free art classes.
All levels of experience welcome. Materials included. Qualified art teacher to cover drawing, painting and 3-D work.

Shoreditch Festival
Shoreditch Festival, produced by Shoreditch Trust, is an annual highlight of the East London cultural calendar. The Festival has an impressive record in delivering high quality performances and imaginative initiatives which are bold, creative and engaging.
On Saturday 18th July, St Mary's Secret Garden will have a stall celebrating the theme of 'Earthly Delights', where staff will be running planting workshops. Come along and plant up containers to take away with you.

Our Harvest Celebration for all our volunteers, clients and staff, has been changed from Wednesday 16 September to Wednesday September 23rd.
This will be smaller than our usual annual flower show.
After all the hard work in the summer, we like to celebrate together.
Family and friends welcome. If you can help out in any way, perhaps by helping to set up on the day and making some food we would be very grateful.
