Today at St Mary’s garden we made vegetable crumbles and me, Darius and Eric was watering a plant. The food that we were making has mushrooms, carrot, sweet potato and celery and butter, nuts, flour and cheese. It made vegetable crumbles. We made smoothies with frozen bananas, strawberries, berries and orange juice. I liked the smoothie and I never tasted the crumble and I don’t know if I like it or not.

The crumble just came out of the oven.

Today a woman called Sarah came with her colleague Jacinda to do cooking with us. We had a lot of fun with them. We cooked apple scones, cheese scones and soup. We enjoyed having them here.

We also went into the garden with Catherine. All of us had to pick a plant or vegetable and we had to describe it and say why we chose it. We were very excited it was going to be in the flower show.

Today was a wonderful day and we had lots of fun.

Today  at gardening club we have learnt about bees.  That there’s one queen bee in every hive also only female bees sting and not male bees.  When the queen can no longer give birth the male bees cuddle her to death and  then gets a new queen bee and also every bee collects 1/12 of a tea spoon of honey in it life time.  Then we had a quiz and then we played a game of dancing like a bee which was fun.
