Basic organic vegetable growing and gardening course

Basic Gardening Course:
Starting weekly every Thursday from the 22nd April - 27th May
3.30pm - 6pm
We offer a six week gardening course, covering all the basics, from sowing seeds, to cuttings, planting, pruning, soil and composting. We follow organic gardening practices and will include this in our teaching.
The garden setting provides the opportunity for would be gardeners on the course, to experience first hand the nature of “how to garden” with the help and guidance of professional experts. Having a “hands on” approach makes this course exciting and rewarding (for both student and teacher) as each week offers a different aspect of gardening that is both practical and knowledgeable.
It is hoped that by the end of the six week course, you will have the confidence to approach your garden, balcony, window box, allotment or any community green space.
Just bring warm comfortable clothing and a folder to keep your notes in. We provide hot drinks, biscuits and sturdy boots.
| "I just wanted to let you know that I had great success with my vegetable patch this year as a result of the course I attended last spring. In a small area of the garden I grew potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, peas, sugar snap peas, beetroot, lettuce, rocket, parsnip, onions, cabbage and broccoli. I am now gearing up to repeat the process next year. Your course gave me the confidence to try something I had wanted to do for a long time". Suzanne Benson
"The gardening course inspired me on the road to recovery. Your course helps to develop self-cultivation in others and is a really worthwhile project. For those that are hesitating to join I hope you are able to share this email with them so, they can equate to the emotional and spiritual value that gardening in a therapeutic and educational environment can impact our lives". Lucy, a previous course attendee
